Emerge isn’t just a name.
It’s not just a feeling.
Emerge is a verb.
It’s something you do. It requires action.
When I was first introduced to the random turtle in my back yard, it was a tough season of my life. I’ll be honest: I didn’t even like turtles. They were slow. Gross. Wet. Cold. Not exactly inspiring. Read about that experience in Journeys of the Spirit. (Read that reflection here)

But something shifted when I began learning more about sea turtles and the symbolic meaning of a turtle. (You can read more about that here)
What inspired me wasn’t what a turtle is, but what a turtle does.
The way it emerges.
Slow & Steady
Slow and steady really does win the race, but only when it’s paired with passion, planning, and purpose. A turtle doesn’t rush. It doesn’t panic. But it moves. It has direction. It knows where it’s going, even when the journey is long and the terrain is hard or the destination uncertain.
That concept changed everything for me…and it became the foundation for how I wanted to serve my clients.

I saw so many people and organizations feeling stuck. They had ideas. They had dreams. But they didn’t know where to start, or they were afraid to take that first step or they were spinning their wheels. I wanted to help them emerge: to take action, to pursue their goals, and to make progress through a thoughtful, strategic approach.
Because emerging is the first step before you can ever take off.
Just like ignite…if you never strike the match, nothing happens.
If you never set forth, you never advance.
And here’s the truth: emerging looks different for everyone.
Sometimes it takes inspiration.
Sometimes it takes courage.
Sometimes it takes a caring, helping hand to walk alongside you and say, “You can do this.”
But it always requires movement.
So today, I want to leave you with a question – not just to reflect on, but to act on:
How can you Emerge?
What areas of your life have you been settling in?
Where have you been waiting instead of moving?
What vision has been placed on your heart that’s asking for action?
Emerge doesn’t mean having it all figured out. It means putting one foot in front of the other. It means trusting your God-given purpose enough to take the next step, even if it’s slow, even if it’s uncomfortable.
Because slow and steady, fueled by purpose, still gets you exactly where you’re meant to go.
So take action.
Take the step.
And Emerge with purpose.
